Pros and cons of DoseOrganizer app for iPhone and iPad
DoseOrganizer app good for
As someone who cares for an elderly relative, Ive found this app indispensable. Been using it for a few days now and has certainly helped to clear my mind to focus on other tasks!
For long Time I was looking for an App. Lîle This Nice program
Some bad moments
Has no info a about MD that prescribed the meds. No choice for PRN meds should have used the free version before wasting money on this. If you take a liquid or a powdered to be put in water, etc there is no option
I download two other prescription reminder apps before this one - and deleted them both. This was the only one that practically and easily allowed for me to keep tracks of meds that I dont HAVE to take ("as needed") and allowed for me to change the time something was taken to have the follow up, interval, times automatically change. Two great features include the "take" (tap when dose was taken) and "snooze" (if not ready to take at that time). With snooze, you can set the amount of time before the next reminder for that dose. It also allows you to turn reminders off and on without resetting the scheduled times. Great for overnight when you dont want to be awakened to take a pill.
I started with the free version and quickly paid the 99 cents to get the full. Well worth it. Only reason not 5 is because the notes have reset a couple of times- possibly user error but I havent figured out why.
Works pretty good. Had trouble if I missed the alarm. Couldnt get the "take" & "snooze" wouldnt show up to choose. After I got out & went back in it showed I had missed the dose. Other than that works well.
Great idea but screen flutters adding data & pics disappear. Tends to lock up, clears when you exit & re-enter app. Please improve & maybe add cautions/side effects of drugs being used.
Five stars. Very useful As Is. Very practical and helpful. As an improvement suggestion, I would like to be able to TAP an item & manually override its status ( i.e.: change missed dose to taken ). Im an old geezer and dont always my iPhone with me. When Ive miss a TAKE reminder, i will take my dose later, but the app still shows MISSED and I cant see a way to change the status after the fact.
Great idea to keep track of your meds.
The only problem is you really cant change the date of when you started your meds. Also if I missed to take my med but take it later it should let me uncheck the missed button. Besides that great app. I rate this app for now with 4 stars.
